The increasing wealth gap in America and other developed nations has come into the limelight as the world tries to grapple with both short-term and longer-term economic pressures. With many politicians taking to social media to advocate for a more equal wealth distribution (in the form of a progressive wealth tax or otherwise), I wanted to revisit the idea of wealth inequality. What better way to do this than to analyze the upper echelon of earners — do billionaires do enough to justify their exorbitant sums of wealth?
